CRP (C-reactive protein)

CRP (پرۆتینی C ی کارلێکەر)

A protein the liver makes more of when there is inflammation, for example with an infection or an inflammatory disease.

Definition

A protein the liver makes more of when there is inflammation, for example with an infection or an inflammatory disease. It does not show where the inflammation is or what causes it. Doctors use it to see whether there is inflammation or whether treatment is working. hs-CRP is a different test used for heart risk.
