Analgesic (Painkiller)

ئازارشکێن (موسەکین)

A medicine that helps reduce or remove pain in the body.

Definition

Painkillers act on the nerves or on the substances that trigger pain so that the brain feels less pain. Mild types such as paracetamol are common at home for a short-term headache and toothache. They should not be used for a long time and without advice, so they do not harm the stomach, liver or kidneys.

Example sentence

«When he had a toothache, the doctor prescribed a painkiller to reduce the pain.»
