This page explains what happens if Amitriptyline and Ciprofloxacin are taken together, according to official sources.
CYP inhibition, elevated tricyclic toxicity, and QT risk
Ciprofloxacin potently inhibits CYP1A2 and CYP2D6 amitriptyline metabolism, triggering severe tricyclic toxicity alongside additive QT prolongation.
Avoid combination. Substitute ciprofloxacin with a safer antimicrobial agent that does not inhibit CYP1A2 or prolong QTc.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about these two medicines; don't stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
