Elevated statin levels and dose restriction
Amlodipine increases blood levels of simvastatin and elevates the risk of muscle damage. When taken with amlodipine, the dose of simvastatin should not exceed 20 mg daily.
Per FDA guidelines, do not exceed 20 mg daily of simvastatin when co-administered with amlodipine.
