Chelation and reduced levothyroxine bioavailability
Ciprofloxacin can chelate and bind with levothyroxine in the gastrointestinal tract, significantly reducing thyroid hormone absorption.
Separate administration by at least 4 to 6 hours. Take levothyroxine in the early morning and ciprofloxacin at midday/evening.
